Michel Forgeron Cognac XO Carafe (700 ml)

Michel Forgeron is a family-owned house located in Segonzac, the heart of Grande Champagne, the premier cru of Cognac. The estate practices single-estate production, meaning every step—from vineyard to distillation and aging—takes place under the same family supervision.

Grande Champagne is renowned for its chalk-rich soils, which produce eaux-de-vie with exceptional aging potential. These spirits are often described as floral, precise, and capable of developing remarkable depth over long maturation.

The XO designation legally requires a minimum of 10 years aging in oak (as per current BNIC regulations), though Forgeron’s XO typically incorporates much older eaux-de-vie. Extended aging in French oak barrels develops tertiary aromas and a refined rancio signature—hallmarks of mature Grande Champagne Cognac.

The carafe presentation emphasizes both prestige and elegance, reflecting the house’s traditional craftsmanship.
