This sake belongs to the Taruzake (樽酒) category, meaning it is aged in traditional Japanese cedar barrels known as Yoshino cedar, which originates from Nara. These aromatic cedar barrels have been used in sake brewing for centuries, especially for ceremonial occasions and celebrations.
