Tapatío is one of Mexico’s most respected traditional tequila brands, produced at La Alteña Distillery (El Pandillo) under the guidance of master distiller Carlos Camarena—a name synonymous with craftsmanship and authenticity.

Unlike many modern tequilas, Tapatío remains committed to heritage production methods, including slow cooking of agave and traditional extraction techniques. The Añejo expression is aged in oak barrels, allowing the spirit to develop depth, structure, and complexity, while still preserving the identity of agave.

This results in a tequila that leans more toward traditional, earthy, and agave-driven character, rather than overly sweet or heavily oaked styles.
