Suntory Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara (Tsukuriwake 2024) (700 ml)

The jewel in the crown of the 2024 Tsukuriwake series, this single malt was matured exclusively in Mizunara casks, celebrating the distillery’s mastery over Japanese oak. Mizunara is notoriously difficult to work with, but its unique character has made it an essential part of Yamazki’s character since the very beginning. A long maturation reveals its distinctive style, you can expect notes of incense, coconut and sandalwood, lifted by white peach, spiced oranges, and chocolate covered honeycomb

Tasting notes

Nose: Rich and elegant top notes of dark cherry , ripe peach with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Taste: Subtly spiced organette with under notes of Japanese incense

Finish: Long and Lingering, accentuated with clove, sandalwood and hints of dried coconut
