Black Tot Finest Caribbean is a modern tribute to the legendary Royal Navy rum ration, which was issued daily to sailors for over 300 years until the practice was abolished on "Black Tot Day," July 31, 1970. While the original navy rum was a heavy, dark spirit, this modern expression is designed to be a complex, multi-layered blend that captures the soul of the navy style while appealing to the contemporary palate.

The blend is a masterclass in balance, combining the three pillars of British naval rum: Guyana, Barbados, and Jamaica. The Guyanese component provides a rich, dark body; the Barbadian rum adds elegance and spice; and the Jamaican rum contributes the signature "funk" and tropical fruit esters. Bottled at 46.2% ABV, it carries enough strength to hold its structure in cocktails but is smooth enough to be sipped like a fine whisky.

Unlike the historical ration, which was sweetened and colored heavily with caramel, Black Tot Finest Caribbean contains no added sugar. It relies entirely on the quality of the pot and column still distillates for its flavor.
