Baron de Sigognac is one of the historic estates of Bas-Armagnac, known for producing traditional, age-stated Armagnacs distilled and matured in the heart of Gascony. Unlike many Cognacs that rely on blending across crus, Sigognac focuses on estate identity and authentic regional expression.

Bas-Armagnac, the most prestigious subregion of Armagnac, is characterized by sandy, iron-rich soils known as sables fauves. These soils yield spirits with aromatic intensity and excellent aging potential.

Distilled using traditional continuous Armagnac stills (single distillation), the spirit retains more congeners than double-distilled Cognac, resulting in a fuller, more textured profile. The “10 Ans” age statement indicates a minimum of 10 years aging in French oak barrels, where gradual oxidation and wood interaction soften the spirit and build complexity.

The result is an Armagnac that balances maturity and vitality—structured yet accessible.
